Stage 2 Science

During Term 4, all Year 3 and 4 students have participated in hands-on science investigations which involved rotating throughout the Stage 2 classrooms. Students have learned:

  • what a camera obscura is and how their eyes work
  • how many students can stand on an upturned table balanced by only 4 balloons
  • that a stickman created by whiteboard markers can ‘dance’ when covered with water
  • creating invisible ink is a great way to send secret messages
  • that hot water rises and cold water sinks
  • how molecules behave in different water temperatures
