Each year the P&C coordinates an event to welcome new families to the school. This is an opportunity for new families to meet other new families, some of the school teachers and find out more about the P&C. Whilst Kindy families make up the majority of new families, the event is open to all families that are new to OPS. It is an informal 1 hour gathering in the North site COLA, without any formal agenda other than to meet and have a laugh together.
The event will follow the meet the teacher on Wednesday 19th February, and whilst Meet the Teacher and the New Family Welcome events are not tailored for children to attend, we will certainly cater for any children that are attending with their parents/carers. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org with how many adults and children will be attending from your family, and any allergies to be catered for.
I look forward to meeting and having a chat about your time at Oatley Public school so far this year.
The Fathering Project is holding a catch-up for fathers and father figures on this night. These events are good fun and I always enjoy reflecting on how I can get the most out of my relationship with my kids. If you are like me and enjoy a hit of (non-competitive) table tennis and a laugh, you can join me and head across to the hall after at 7pm to participate. More information about the Fathering Project event and how to register for the event can be found here: Fathering Project.
