Thank you to all the dads, mums, teachers and students who participated in the Fathering Project – what a huge success.


We are getting close to three performing arts groups auditioning for the St George Performing Arts on Wednesday 29 May at 11am. The coaches of these groups will be sending notes home and the expectation of attendance dates, transport costs, costume costs and parent tickets on sale once we have outcome from the audition. And finally our 3-6 choir students will be joining 23 other schools in their mass choir rehearsal on Thursday 30 May. Our Stage 3 students are off to camp. Fathering Project-Bingo and Bangers Night – What a success!


We successfully launched our first Fathering Project event 'Bingo and Bangers Night' on Wednesday 22nd May 2019. A total of 175 fathers/father-figures and children attended. The night started out with an opportunity for fathers/father-figures to meet and socialise other over a sausage sizzle, whilst their children enjoyed the company of each other. We then moved into the hall to play games of bingo. Children were really engaged during this activity and they were so proud to have their father/father-figure playing alongside them. Year 3 and 4 Georges River Environment Excursion


During Terms 1 and 2, Stage 2 students have been learning about sustainability as part of their integrated unit, ‘Sustaining Our World’. To enhance their understanding, Year 3 students will be attending an excursion at the Georges River Environmental Education Centre and Simmos Beach. District Cross Country


What a cracking day the Cross Country was on Wednesday 23rd  May. All students arrived and were full of excitement and pumped for a fun full day of running. We started off with a walk around the course and we all found it very challenging but we were able to talk strategies and how best to run the course. Representative Sport Update


There are many achievements to report on the representative sport front. Michaela G represented Georges River PSSA on Monday at the Sydney East Netball Carnival Henry G, Lucy C and Abby C have been selected in Sydney East Hockey teams Justice F has been selected in Sydney East teams for both Rugby Union and Rugby League Orlando G has been selected in Sydney East teams for both Rugby League and Touch Football Good luck to these students as they compete at the State Carnivals in each given sport.  In true Oatley tradition, we acknowledged their achievements at morning assemblies and...
